Arabic Language

Arabic is the official language of 27 countries and the religious language of 2 billion Muslims around the globe. The Holy Quran and the vast reservoir of Hadith and Hadith sciences are preserved in this language. It was recommended by the second caliph Hazrat Umar (RA), that Muslims learn Arabic as it is part and parcel of their religion.
In this course, students are taught the basic rules of grammar and composition and how to construct simple sentences. With these skills, students can read Arabic.
The Islamic University of Minnesota faculty includes renowned religious scholars and seven-year Dars-e-Nizami degree holders. Most faculty members hold Ph.D. and M.Phil degrees, making them uniquely qualified in Islamic studies.
